Play Cricket For Lane Cove
WE WANT YOU!!
Lane Cove Cricket Club is the oldest Shires cricket club in the Sydney Cricket Association celebrating our 125th year in 2018 as well as being one of the largest junior clubs in NSW and fielding a flourishing Masters (over 40s) contingent. We are located in the heart of Sydney’s lower North Shore, only 10 minutes from the CBD.
If you and a couple of mates are interested in playing for Lane Cove, please get in contact with the Club Secretary at 0404 144 420 or alternatively, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org – all news is also posted on our facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/lanecovecricket/
LCCC are always on the lookout for new players and we can offer a great place to play high standard, competitive cricket in a great atmosphere and club culture. Our home ground is the picturesque Tantallon Oval, which has won the Shires Ground of the Year numerous times and the Club has won the Spirit of Cricket award numerous times – something we are proud of and continuously strive for. We play on turf pitches and have official umpires across all grades, of which there are 4, with an under 24s side and a Masters side.
For the 2018/19 season, we are also entering a Tim Creer Cup side (5th Grade) as well so if you can’t always play Saturdays, are looking for some 40 over one dayers or simply are a father wanting to play with his son then this is for you!
Our sponsored pub is the Longueville Sporting Club, of which players and friends alike all gather post-match to catch up on the day’s events and bond as a club. Combine that with training on Wednesday evenings at North Sydney Oval #2 5-7pm and LCCC has access to the finest training and playing facilities in NSW! Training at NSO will commence after daylight savings starts (from Wednesday October 10)
Expectations of new players:
A player is actively encouraged to share in and celebrate the success of others, compete to the final delivery and demonstrate at all times a commitment to their own performance and that of the team. Players are to act in a positive fashion at all times. Consistently attending training, being punctual on match days, appearance and presentation at these games and contribution to club events is expected from all club members.
A player is expected to behave in a manner that reflects well on himself and the club at all times. This applies both on and off the field
